Background
Madeline graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Australia in 2021.
Madeline has been employed with McLeods since June 2021, initially in the capacity of paralegal and then as a full-time law graduate from November 2021. Madeline was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 7 October 2022.
Madeline regularly appears as a prosecutor in the Magistrates Court and as counsel in the State Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court. In particular, she has worked on a number of high-profile litigation matters in the State Administrative Tribunal, being an experienced advocate and mediator. Madeline frequently represents and advises local governments in relation to planning, building and health matters.
Madeline also has experience working in property and commercial litigation matters.
Experience
- Appearing as counsel in Magistrates Court, Supreme Court, and State Administrative Tribunal proceedings.
- Advising local governments in relation to all areas of prosecution, enforcement, and compliance matters.
- Presenting enforcement/compliance sessions and workshops to local government clients and other industry bodies, including the Planning Institute of Australia and Environmental Health Australia.
- Preparing documents in relation to property matters, prosecutions, and civil proceedings.
