Craig Slarke

Background

Craig joined McLeods in 1993 and he has been a partner since 2000.

Craig has developed a large practice focused on planning law and appears regularly as counsel in the State Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court. Craig has lectured in Planning Law at Curtin University and conducts regular seminars on matters related to planning law and the State Administrative Tribunal.

Experience

Particular aspects of Craig’s experience include:

  • Advice on all development related matters covering the law in regard to land use planning, environmental protection, management and control, heritage protection, liquor licensing, mining and land titles.
  • Advice on and drafting of town planning schemes, amendments to town planning schemes and conditions of planning approval.
  • Preparation of subdivisional and development related agreements.
  • Representing local government in Supreme Court proceedings including challenges to the exercise of statutory powers.
