BACKGROUND
Ian graduated from the University of Notre Dame’s graduate level degree with Honours in 2005 and was awarded the price for academic excellence in his year.
Ian has worked at McLeods as a part-time law clerk since 2002 and completed his articles of clerkship in 2006. He has been involved in all areas of law practiced by the firm.
EXPERIENCE
Ian’s experience in legal practice includes:
• Preparation of appeals for local governments in the State Administrative Tribunal.
• Conducting prosecutions for local governments in the Magistrate’s Courts.
• Providing advice to local governments on various issues, including negligence, planning matters, defamation, and statutory interpretation.
• Working on numerous land compensation cases and Supreme Court appeals.
